Introduction
Vertex Digital s.r.o. (“VertexMedia”) offers a suite of advertising technologies, including its ad exchange platform, application programming interfaces (APIs), and associated websites (collectively referred to as the “VertexMedia Services” or “Services”). Our technology enables digital publishers—those who manage websites and mobile apps—to monetize their properties by displaying advertisements from brands looking to promote their products and services.
This Privacy Policy outlines how VertexMedia collects, uses, and shares data regarding (i) individuals who engage with sites and apps that implement the VertexMedia Services, (ii) our publishing and advertising partners (“VertexMedia Clients”), and (iii) visitors to the official VertexMedia websites.
The policy is organized into three parts:
- Section 1: How we collect and use information from end users interacting with our ad services;
- Section 2: How we handle data from VertexMedia Clients and visitors to our websites;
- Section 3: General privacy and data governance principles.
Section 1: Information from End Users
Data We Collect
When users visit apps or websites that use the VertexMedia Services, we may collect device and ad interaction data. Our system is designed not to gather personally identifiable information (PII) like names or email addresses. The information collected may include:
- Device specifics (model, OS, manufacturer), IP address, browser type, carrier info, app/website identifiers, advertising IDs (e.g., IDFA or GAID), and version data;
- Event and interaction logs, including timestamps, time zones, connection types (e.g., WiFi or mobile), and cookie or tag data;
- Interest and demographic data shared by third parties or partners (e.g., pages visited, ad engagement, language settings);
- Ad engagement metrics (e.g., which ads were served, clicked, or led to conversions).
Use of Data
We process this information to deliver, monitor, and enhance the Services, including for:
- Ad delivery and performance: Informing advertisers and publishers how their ads are performing and when/how users are engaging;
- Targeting and relevancy: Enhancing ad relevance using contextual and geo-targeted inputs (where allowed);
- Frequency management: Ensuring users don’t see the same ad too often;
- Analytics and optimization: Maintaining and evolving our systems and capabilities;
- Security: Identifying suspicious or fraudulent behavior to protect our platform and users.
Data Sharing
To operate and refine our Services, we may share anonymized or aggregated data as follows:
- With advertisers and publishers to report campaign performance;
- With data partners who assist in optimizing ad delivery;
- With advertisers assessing whether to place bids or serve specific creatives;
- Internally, within the Vertex Digital corporate structure;
- With fraud prevention and quality control partners;
- As outlined further in Section 3 of this policy.
User Controls
Depending on your device, you can restrict interest-based advertising:
- iOS: Enable “Limit Ad Tracking”;
- Android: Use the “Opt out of Interest-Based Ads” setting;
- Web: Activate the “Do Not Track” feature in your browser.
When these preferences are set, we cease using collected data for interest profiling on that device. Our clients are contractually obligated to respect these opt-out signals.
To explore additional opt-out mechanisms, please visit: vertexmedia.com/do-not-track.
Children’s Data
VertexMedia prohibits the use of our Services to profile users or serve interest-based ads within apps targeted at children. However, contextually relevant ads (e.g., ads for toys within a gaming app) may still be served, in accordance with relevant laws.
Client Privacy Responsibilities
Our clients are required to provide transparency and comply with applicable regulations. We strongly advise users to review individual publishers’ privacy notices for specifics on their data practices.
